Fin & Feather Fall Festival

Every season has its own charm and beauty, autumn is the traditional time for fairs. Each September, Fin & Feather Resort hosts its annual Fall Festival, one of the most popular arts and crafts shows in the state. Last year, thousands of visitors flocked to see more than 170 exhibitors displaying and selling their unique handiwork during the three-day event.
The Festival is held on the grounds of the Fin and Feather Resort in Gore Ok, near beautiful Lake Tenkiller in Eastern Oklahoma
Admission is free.

This was a fun show last year so I am excited to be doing it again this year. Vendors filled all the activity rooms, gym and hallways at the First United Methodist Church. There were so many wonderful hand crafted gifts, jewelry, clothing and unusual things

Learn how to Wire Wrap a Tree of Life Pendant!

The Tree of Life and Wire Wrapping has been quite popular these last few years and so many of you have asked me to teach it.
During this 4 hour class, we will be using high-quality jewelry wire in your choice of Silver Plate, Copper Plate or Vintage Bronze (Silver and bronze shown in picture) to make a completed pendant as shown.
I will be supplying all wire for your project, pre-cut for you. Instructions will also be given so you can have something to follow the next time you make one.
Cost $40.00 includes Wire. In order to give attention and direction to students’ I will be limiting this class to 6 people so reserve your spot today. Since I will be limiting the class, and pre-cutting the wire, paid reservations are required. NO refunds within 48 hours of class. No changing dates unless I still have a spot open.
Tools Needed – I do not have enough tools for everyone to share and we will be using them throughout the day so I do recommend you bring the following jewelry tools. We will be using other tools but we can share those!
- Chain Nose Pliers – Chain nose pliers have no “tooth” but we don’t care about that for this project. Small needle Nose Pliers will work just fine.
- Flush Cutter pliers – These are specialty tools for jewelry making. We will be snipping wire close to the piece often. If you have a small pair of wire cutters that will work.Michaels and even Walmart carry these inexpensive tools.This kit on Amazon is probably not the highest quality but it will do the job and you get some great jewelry making tools in it, enough to get you going without costing you an arm and a leg.
ADDING STONES: I WILL NOT be supplying Stones to wire wrap into your pendant. You are welcome to bring a Cabachon to wrap but adding this element makes the piece more difficult. I will help you of course.
If you want to add a stone it MUST be a flat-backed Cabachon in either an oval shape or teardrop shape and should be between 1 1/2 – 1 3/4″ tall and at least 1″ wide.
